"My wife and I recently bought a home in Troy, NY, with Heather Hamlin Martin’s excellent assistance. Our situation wasn’t simple: Out of state buyers, hoping to buy sight-unseen, looking for an inexpensive (i.e. a small commission) but comfortable home, using an out of town lender, and the list went on from there. Importantly, she called us proactively just to tell us she was on the job even if nothing much had happened since our last chat. When we got worried about things, she spoke carefully and clearly about when it was a real worry and when it was just buyers’ jitters. I can’t tell you how rare and helpful it is to find anyone in real estate who understands how to stay in touch, basic as that sounds. We closed escrow, bought the house and have moved in. All has gone so very well, due in no small part to Heather’s help. Her friendly advice about basic services around Troy, her cheerful but professional perspective, and her knowledge of the Capital District market led to our buying this house for a great price.
